Now with her training in the skin care industry she views your skin as a beautiful canvas to work on. Then there is Melissa L., she has turned her lifelong love of skin care into a way of helping people feel good about themselves. She’s certified in high grade deep peels. These ladies use their talents to bring your skin to it’s own perfect state. Our hair stylists range in experience from 24 years to 2+ years. But each and everyone of our pros is committed to Higher Beauty Education. They’ve been trained in some of the finest beauty colleges in the country, some of them are even experienced artists. They all go above and beyond the “basics” and have gained artistic skills you won’t find at just any salon. At The Hair Gallery in Scottsdale Arizona we know it is a MUST to keep up with the latest trends, styles, and techniques through continuing education.

Most of our stylists have taken Master and Advanced classes at world renowned institutions like Toni & Guy and Redken. Many are trained in the art of “precision cutting”. This is a method inspired by the beauty of architecture and based on the solid foundation of geometry that gives you clean, sexy lines in your hairstyle. Many of our stylists are color artists and can create gorgeous custom color for you. Melissa grew up in New York watching her mom work as a hair stylist in a high end salon in New Rochelle. That is when her dream of owning a salon started. Life took her down many paths, including a successful career in real estate. But she never gave up on her dream of having her own salon.

That dream was finally realized in early 2009, and as the new owner of The Hair Gallery her first priority was to remodel the salon into a trendy “New York Loft” style. A graduate from Paul Mitchell the School - Phoenix, she graduated top of her class from the elite "Phase 2" salon prepatory honors program. Ashley has been working in the salon industry since 2006 & understands what it takes & how important complete customer satisfaction is. She is huge on fashion & keeps up with current trends. Ashley has also worked for Sunny's Hair & Wigs in Mesa, AZ for the constant education in the booming Hair Extension, hairpiece, & wig business. She is constantly participating in educational classes, doing hair & make up for photoshoots, and bringing fresh ideas into the salon.

Ashley received her Nail Technology License in 2003. She was fresh out of high school and uncertain which path to take. That is when she turned her attention to a golf course and she flourished working out in the sunshine. For years she enjoyed serving golfers and developing professional relationships with the regulars. After six years at the golf course, she decided to work in a salon environment.

Her Story:

I’ve pursued many dreams in my life. I was born and raised in England and amongst other things have always been intrigued with the expressions, textures, colours, and versatility of the skin. I studied cosmetology at one of England’s most highly recognized Colleges in the West Midlands. And one of my proudest achievements whilst there was being chosen to make a hair presentation for the Princess Royal (Queen of England’s daughter).
After three years of study and achieving a National/ International Vocational Qualification, I moved to London where I worked for a Top Agency travelling to many different salons and hotel spas as a cover staff. Most of the Salons I worked in offered me permanent employment with many benefits including great education. I finally took permanent position years later at a Salon/Clinic in London Bridge specializing in skin, dermis, epidermis, and subcutaneous layers Features and functions. I’ve grown to understand many ethnicities of skin and origin’s
I’ve worked with many products learning effective active ingredients along with the use of well known beauty mashines. But my dreams brought me to the US, Arizona, and finally The Hair and Spa Gallery to once again do what I love most. I’m glad to be here listening, observing, treating, and advising my Clients using the professional knowledge I’ve gained over 11 years in Europe.
