Retrogression was a fashion show and party hosted at The Hair Gallery Salon that took place on Saturday, April 25, 2009. The theme of "Retrogression" was "old meets new" in beauty and fashion. It debuted the hottest fashions with a retro flavor!
Retrogression featured four local clothing designers that showed 10-12 looks each. (See the pictures of the event.) The stylists at The Hair Gallery oversaw hair and make-up and created all the "looks" for the models. It was Scottsdale’s own mini - "Fashion Week" for an evening!
Chrysalis (www.noabuse.org) is a local charity that The Hair Gallery actively supports. They donated all proceeds from this evening to them. Chrysalis is a 24 hour crises center aptly named because the term “Chrysalis” is defined as: “the growth that creates an independent being.” Chrysalis works with women, children and men to break the cycle of abuse and survives with the public’s support.
Four local designers featured their clothing lines:
Davani Weaver designs and constructs clothing inspired by underground fashion, vintage looks and whatever is “hot on the walk”.
